Dragon Wisdom
Babylonian myth said that before the world was created, there was only Tiamat, dragon of the bitter waters and sweet springs. In the deepest dark, before all being arose, She gave birth to light. Dividing Her body, She then became both Heaven and Earth, water and air, fire and roots.
The creative female dragon power stirred enormous fear in the patriarchal church fathers. Their stories are full of dragon-slaying heroes. As daughters of the Dragon Moon, we can rewrite the story to reclaim our powerful heritage. Here are some suggestions for a Dragon Woman in training:
Dragons breathe fire. Ignite your inner spark. Speak up and let your words burn away lies, manipulation and control.
Dragons are fearsome and refuse entrance to those who seek to destroy the forest magic. Resist un-Natural acts that destroy Earth's resources.
Dragons exist outside of time. Therefore, keep your own pace, fulfilling your own desires. Retreat into your lair for renewal whenever you want.
Once awakened, a Dragon is your friend forever and will guard you with magical potions and spells. Therefore, use ritual, particularly just before and during your bleeding time. Invoke Tiamat for power and ride the Red River back home.
Give yourself a Dragon name and start roaring today. No one can take your power away from you - ever again.
Affirmation: I make life-enhancing decisions. I face my fears with courage, seeing them for what they are. I am Dragon Wise. I show my power.
